Sleeping Beauty

There’s definitely one huge drawback to owning a bungalow that didn’t cross our minds when we moved. Louis now has an “Access All Areas” mindset such that he keeps pushing his way into our bedroom around 3 in the morning. Sue thinks he needs to water the lawn so gets up to let him out but he just jumps onto the warm, vacated space on the bed.

If he doesn’t get a decent share of the bed then he heads back to his sofa in the lounge. In the meantime I’m wide awake counting sheep and trying to get back to sleep.

We thought at first that he was waking up as we had been missing his evening walk due to all the work we’ve been doing. So we took him for a long evening walk – result – no difference. What’s really galling with this is that both Sue and Louis can get back to sleep in milliseconds whilst I usually stay awake until half an hour before the alarm clock is due to go off.

Anyway – here’s a nice close up of my furry friend doing what he does best – snoozing.
