Paws Across The Sea

My mate Pete over in Houston has taken in a (permanent) lodger – a Ridgeback called Rooney.

Here’s a great piccie of Rooney trying to get in his food bowl:-

We hope Rooney provides Pete & Sonja hours of fun.

Just in case anyone wonders where the title comes from – Pete is Glaswegian by birth and it’s a reference to Rab C Nesbitt’s “Hands across the sea” bit with his Spanish counterpart.

Louis The Kitchen Gadget

Louis always appears in the kitchen when the time’s right. He doesn’t waste his time by pitching up when there’s nothing to beg or steal and he has the Sunday roast routine down to perfection.

First of all he lets you know he’s here to help:-

Followed by a short period of whimpering once the first carrot is ready:-

Let me help you with the veggie preparaton.

Louis doesn’t need any kitchen gadgets to chop them carrots up:-

After he’s helped with the preparation he disappears back into the dining room and stretches out on the mat for another couple of hours of badly needed sleep before the roast is ready when he magically reappears to help with the slicing.

Finally after the meal he pre-washes all the plates before the dishwasher although I’ve been told we shouldn’t announce that!
