Louis has some strange habits. When you are out walking he is a master of quickly dragging you backwards if he smells something interesting.
It’s easy to control him if he goes forward but tricky if he goes backwards.
His other unpredictable behaviour is wanting to say hello to the odd person. Normally he follows the breed and is “aloof with strangers”. However, every now and again he ignores this and wants to say hello by lunging at the unsuspecting pedestrian. The common denominator for this is someone with a plastic shopping bag as he knows these contain goodies.
On Friday he chose a PCSO, a Police Community Support Officer. The poor lass jumped a mile. No matter how many times you say “He’s just saying hello” you’re at a disadvantage when your dog is as big as Louis.
