Once again found out that videos no longer worked due to an out of date plugin and the need to pay for a licence. Abandoned that and the videos are now back up and running.

We've added an extra chart showing Louis' weight against how many weeks old; makes it easier to read and compare.

Some interesting Linnaean dog terminology.

Thunder and sparks

We got caught out in the thunder today; wow it was close the lightning was so loud. Louis took it in his stride, the only thing he didn’t like was the torrential rain. 👿 Louis and I went to my mums this afternoon and decided to go on the walk I used to go on with my first Rhodie down Spath Lane and across the fields. It took me back thirty years and a little more. Louis and I are getting ready for a big show tomorrow; bacon butties, Red Bull, and chocolate – what more could you ask for, decent weather may be pushing it I suppose. 😎 I sent Andy a photo of his boy looking out of the window for him, I’m hoping this makes him come home sooner as we’re pining away.

Japan, tosh, we’ve been to Tatton Park

Andy’s been away for two days, boy and I’m missing him lots. To ensure Louis suffers no mental trauma whilst dad travels I fill his days from 6.30am till he drops at 8.00pm. First day we went on our usual morning walk, Louis was rather impolite to a really well behaved Rottie, he did listen and came away and I apologised to the lovely lady but if any body has any suggestions I would appreciate them. He gets on with puppies and small dogs and girls, it’s just big boys. I should add he has never had a fight and that’s how it should be. We had a lovely walk in Tatton park in the afternoon. I use the long lead for this walk as I don’t let him loose with sheep, deer and cattle of any type. Our evening walk consisted of a tour round Bramhall. Louis sleeps between walks allowing me to get on with the chores and any visiting I need to do. He’s a great companion, the best but we still need Mr B home to share our days. 😳

Off to the land of the rising sun

I’m off to Japan tomorrow so am checking to see if I can blog via my ancient Ipaq.
I haven’t been to our hq in Saijo since 2004; there’s a new hotel in town so I’m hopeful that my bed will be big enough for my svelte (sic) frame to fit in. The City Hotel where I usually stay has beds 5′ 6″ and I’m 5′ 10″ and a bit.

I also hope I can get some wireless connections. Anyway, time to pack and sink a few; early start tomorrow.

Giddy kipper

The past couple of weeks have been a tad trying. Louis is so special, he’s been very good considering I haven’t been up to scratch. He had his nails done yesterday by Chris and she put him through his paces for his up and coming show at W.E.L.K.S. I’m really looking forward to it, it feels like a long time since we’ve played out. Andy is whinging that my blogs are pants because he reckons I’m far too gushy. What does he know. We haven’t been anywhere special this week, we have just managed to do our three walks a day, sleeping in between. Louis has been such a calm lad. Well not strictly true when Andy came home with him after his walk he went straight into the garden and ripped it up in a giddy kipper moment, he had a whale of a time. I laughed so much it hurt. Both boys are now settled; Andy on the floor Louis on his sofa. 😆
